When my fraternity had parties, the song “Eminence Front” by the Who  usually played at least five times per party.  People loved the rhythm.  I never thought about its speed specifically until 1988.

   Thus I did these tempo images myself which indicate on my master recording, which is a 256 kbps download from iTunes®.  I measured 1, 288 half notes, as indicated below.  Yeah, I know it’s just a little obsessive or compulsive or whatever the jargon for “[psychologically Freudian-style retentive]” or correct.  So said, someone has to do it.  You cannot have these songs that will live long past us, songs that need to be classified by speed in order that they be used especially on the fly in mixes, and just leave them all alone, un-catalogued for speed.  That would be a shame!
